I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.
Ex two-time world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly happening.
